Duties:
Checking the bags of customers who have set off an alarm when leaving the store.
Quickly responding to incidents within minutes of them occurring.
Meeting and greeting customers who come to the store.
Acting as a visual deterrent.
Stopping obvious, suspicious people from entering the store.
Able to spot suspicious behavior and act before something happens.
Comfortable approaching people who need to exit the premises.
Being able to take stolen merchandise off of shoplifters when they resist.
Carrying out internal and external patrols.
Being a visible security contact for customers and staff.
Informing violators of policy and procedures.
Deterring anti-social behavior, theft and criminal activity.
Liaising with the police and law enforcement authorities.
Dealing with any emergencies as they arise.
Controlling entry to the premises.
Writing reports up about any disturbances that may have occurred.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Professional Punctual and always on time.
Remaining calm and resilient in challenging situations.
Excellent command of the English language.
Knowledge of how a retail stores operate.
Superb customer service skills.
Fully first aid qualified.
Personal Physically fit and able to walk around or remain standing for long periods of time.
